NETGEAR AC1600 REVIEW: PERFORMANCE
When it came to router testing, the Performance at 2.4GHz was nothing special. At short range, the router didn’t even reach 100Mbit/sec, but it performed better with 5GHz 802.11n. Its performance can’t be compare with top rated wireless routers but not near the bottom of the pack, as it has some excellent speeds at range.
The router didn’t do very well with 802.11ac, although its results at 25m distance look a lot better. None of these results are terrible and as we explained earlier, 802.11ac speeds still go better than any older wireless router.
